The Moon and I
It happened slowly, over time, where her light would begin to awaken a sleeping part of me. I would say it started over a decade ago. It began to happen when I was so broken that I needed something larger than myself to feel protected by. It began as a place of refuge and solace subtly at first.
Later a curiosity began to emerge. A wondering if indeed we were wired to fall into rhythm with her. Later, practicing biodynamic gardening, kundalini yoga, herbalism, beekeeping, and diving into Celtic practices opened up the doorway to more moon-lore. All these practices had moon wisdom woven into them. I began to pay attention to the new moon, full moon, waning and waxing moon. I began to track my fertility and cycle around her and I then became in sync with her. Once this shifted, my relationship to the sun actually became enhanced. I first got the moon tattooed on my right side, above my ribs. Mostly for a reminder for myself to never relinquish my connection to the divine feminine. Later, when I was ready to meet my masculine partner, I tattooed the sun. Then he arrived.
I suppose this deep relationship is in our bones. That’s why it feels like medicine and why it feels like a necessity. As we move farther from the earth in terms of technology and toxins, the more we need to align ourselves with what is and always has been.
Around spring solstice I will be offering a course on moon studies. This is a comprehensive course designed to simplify the relationship you can have with the moon. It’s factual, historical and spiritual. There are so many beautiful goddess sites and teachings in this wondrous time; however, I feel many of you want to start at the basics. This course is simply revealing ways to get in sync with the moon’s rhythm.
I am so grateful and honored to bring this course to you. As she retreats into darkness then builds towards her fullness, so do we. As she honors intuition and fertility, so do we. As she yearns for a balanced state with the sea, sun and earth, so do we.
