The Minnesota Timberwolves have transitioned the contract of guard Daishen Nix to a two-way agreement.
Standing at 6-5, Nix joined the Timberwolves after a two-season stint with the Houston Rockets.
In the previous season, he participated in 57 games, including seven starts, showcasing career-high statistics with averages of 4.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 16.0 minutes per game.
Hailing from Anchorage, Alaska, Nix has accumulated experience in 81 career games, with seven starts, all of which were with the Rockets.

The Raptors have inked a deal with free agent swingman Justise Winslow. To accommodate Winslow on the roster, the camp invitee Makur Maker has been waived. Maker is set to join the Raptors 905, Toronto’s G League affiliate.
Winslow, drafted 10th overall in 2015, has had stints with the Grizzlies, Clippers, and Trail Blazers after spending the first five years of his NBA career with the Miami Heat.
While his performance in the 2021/22 season for Portland, following the Norman Powell/Robert Covington trade, was commendable, his ’22/23 campaign was curtailed by an ankle injury that led to surgery in March.
