The Dallas Mavericks contained the Miami Heat to 90 points, setting a new season low for opponent scoring. Those results occurred after giving up 406 points over their three previous games.
Dallas wing Reggie Bullock shared his thoughts on the Mavericks’ defensive improvement: “It was just a team effort. Obviously, (our lineup) was a lot smaller tonight. People were flying around, making multiple efforts trying to take 3s away from them.”

In the Utah Jazz camp, all trades can be possible but with the exception of two of their most coveted players.
Sources told Marc Stein that there is a “rising belief” that the Jazz will be willing to listen to trade offers from rival teams, but won’t entertain talks around both Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler.
Both Markkanen and Kessler are new in town, but they already built a robust foundation and impression amongst Jazz fans.

The NBA’s last-two minute report for the Friday match showed that despite Dennis Schroder’s clean steal over Desmond Bane to give the Lakers the crucial two-point lead, the referees weren’t able to blow their whistle against Russell Westbrook’s lane violation.
